Jennifer M. Cornelius Esq.

Jennifer M. Cornelius, Esq. was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1999 and is also admitted to the Bar in New York.  After graduating from the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C., she clerked for the Hon. Maureen P. Sogluizzo, J.S.C. in Hudson County Family Court from 1998 to 1999.  Ms. Cornelius has primarily practiced family law since that time, although she handled a wide range of practice areas while at Bielan, Miklos, Morris & Marley in Bayonne before coming to Bergen County in 2004 to work with John Finnerty, Esq. 

She participated in the Hudson County Inn of Court from 2001-2004 and the (now) Barry Croland Family Inn of Court for the 2005-2006 year.  Ms. Cornelius has served as a Hudson County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist for many years.  She is also frequently appointed by the Chancery Court in Bergen as counsel in Guardianship cases.  Ms. Cornelius joined the Law Offices of Jonathan D. Gordon, Esq., LLC in July, 2008 where she continues working primarily in the areas of divorce, custody, parenting time disputes, alimony, child support, domestic violence and guardianships, among other matters related to family law.
